Why I Created the ReWilding Workouts

When I was training to be combat-ready in the Royal Marines, I was obsessed with pushing my limits. I wanted to be the fittest, fastest, and most resilient guy in the room. But every time I tried to progress, injuries stopped me in my tracks.

Niggles became my norm. Aches and pains crept up whenever I pushed harder. It was frustrating as hell.

When I left the Corps, I studied physiotherapy. That’s when everything changed. I learned techniques gym trainers and coaches rarely get access to—the inner workings of the body and how we’re really designed to move.

I started applying those techniques to myself, focusing on natural movement patterns, injury prevention, and functional strength. Old injuries went away. I unlocked levels of fitness I didn’t think were possible. I got leaner, fitter, and stronger—while actually training less.

The key wasn’t doing more. It was moving better, training smarter, and connecting deeply with my body.

Now, I’ve taken those lessons and turned them into the ReWilding Workouts:

All workouts are set with flexible scheduling, using minimal equipment. You need some kettlebells, for an average gym goer 10kg-20kg will be plenty, resistance bands, sandbag or rucksack and a pull up/dip bar. No need to go to a gym.

The course is 12 weeks long, delivered via an app to give full detailed instructions and videos of the exercise, sets, reps and rest periods, taking the guesswork out of your training.

There is ongoing encouragement, as well as motivational and educational content via the app and email, as well as support via a private Facebook group.

Included as a bonus is a food diary, results tracking for various metrics and some bonus coaching content. The food diary and tracking tools are extremely valuable - allowing you to understand when to train and when to rest.

Having to expect more from his body than he initially thought possible in arduous environments during his time in the Royal Marines, Luke started to wonder if the "traditional" methods worked as well as they should.

Going on to study the body, personal training and a BSc in physiotherapy lead to this school of thought.....Does it get to a point where simply "being stronger" stops being beneficial if searching for true performance.

It soon started to become apparent that simply being stronger and putting on more muscle bulk does not translate to how evolution and nature intended us to move.

Our bodies want to be quick, agile, and responsive to change.

But to do that, WE MUST tap into how they are meant to move naturally. Most gyms are not natural. They do not reflect the body's natural movement patterns or respect the way our tissues are meant to work. In actual fact, a lot of the time they GO AGAINST the very principles they are meant to work from.
